Listen to your life. Listen to what happens to you,
because it is through what happens to you that God speaks.
It's the language that's not always easy to decipher,
but it's there, powerfully, memorably, unforgetably.
There are so many wonderful books about our Orthodox Faith that can encourage us to pray more, inspire us to love God and to bring us closer to Him. So let's start reading!

Book Club News and Updates
The St. Mark of Ephesus Book Club will meet on Sunday, September 30th after the coffee and fellowship hour. We are currently reading "First Fruits of Prayer: A Forty-Day Journey Through the Canon of St. Andrew by Frederica Mathewes-Green.
The next book we will be reading is called "Truly Human: Recovering Your Humanity in a Broken World" by Kevin Scherer. Endorsement: "A very personal and moving account of trying to make sense of what it means to be human in a broken world and with a broken humanity. Drawing upon many resources such as scripture, personal encounters, the wisdom of the ancient ascetics, and the insights of contemporary counseling-Kevin Scherer offers us all a way of finding the grace of God in our fragility and weakness. This book will be sure to touch many people." -V. Rev. Dr. John Behr, Dean, St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary, New York.
The book costs $14.00 and payment is due on Sunday, October 14th. There will be a sign-up sheet in the book store and you may also sign up by writing to Catherine Condrick (above email). A special gift will be given to all new and continuing members when the new book arrives.
Previous books we have enjoyed:
